5. Shopify Permissions

Our app requires specific permissions from your Shopify store to function properly. Here are the exact permissions we request and why we need them:

View personal data

• Store owner information - We access basic store owner information (name and email address) for account management and communication purposes. We don't use phone number or physical address.
• Content providers - We don't use this permission - it is standard for Shopify apps.

View and edit store data

• Edit products - We need this permission to edit product or collection page titles and meta descriptions to run tests on those page types.
• Edit your Online Store - We need this permission to edit page titles and meta descriptions to run tests on pages.
• Translations - We need this permission to access and fetch homepage content data through the Shopify API. Due to limitations in Shopify's API structure, homepage SEO content is only accessible through the translations API endpoint. This permission is not used for multilingual content, but is technically required to properly retrieve and modify homepage titles and meta descriptions.

We only use these permissions for their intended purpose of providing our SEO A/B testing service. We never use them to access, modify, or collect data unrelated to our service.

6. Google Search Console Permissions

Our app connects to your Google Search Console account to retrieve performance data that powers our A/B testing insights. We request:

• Read-only access to Search Console data - We only request permission to view your search performance metrics (impressions, clicks, CTR, position).
• No write permissions - We do not request or use any permissions to modify your Google Search Console settings.
• Limited data access - We only access the specific metrics needed to analyze the performance of your A/B tests.

This data is essential for determining which version of your page titles and meta descriptions performs better in search results. All data is stored securely and only used for providing our service.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can request data deletion at any time.
